Originally from Oak Park, Michigan, Christopher didn’t study film at DePaul University — he went to films, drawn to the spectacle of genre movies and the raw humanity of character-driven dramas. His first break in production came as assistant to the producers on the Sundance hit DOPE, and he later honed his craft through Film Independent’s Project Involve Fellowship. He wrote, directed, and produced his debut feature, CURTIS (2021), which won Best U.S. Feature Film at the American Black Film Festival and the Audience Award at the Atlanta Film Festival. Now represented by M88, Christopher explores the intersection of storytelling and endurance, using film and movement to examine resilience, identity, and the moments that define us.
